Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre to Open

We are excited to announce that the Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre will be open to the public on September 1, 2020. The municipality has created an operational plan specifically for the Dr. Carson & Marion Murray Community Centre. The full plan can be found here.

Opening the facility will be done in a phased approach to help mitigate and reduce the risk of COVID-19 and to ensure we are providing a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons and employees. All services and hours of operation are subject to change as provincial public health guidelines change.

Ways we are keeping you safe:

Physical Distancing and Signage- Signage has been placed throughout the facility to encourage physical distancing, flow of traffic, and proper hygiene practices. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the facility.

Mandatory Masks- Masks will be mandatory in the facility with the following exceptions: While participating in a sport or physical activity. For children under two or children age two-four when their caregiver cannot get them to wear a mask and people with valid medical reasons for not wearing a mask. Masks will be provided to patrons if they do not have access to one.

Booking Process – We will be implementing contact tracing for all patrons entering the facility. All users or user groups intending to use the facility must pre-book their time and provide a participant list. Users will be given 15 minutes before and after their booking to enter and exit the building.

Cleaning and Disinfecting- Strict cleaning and disinfecting practices will be implemented to ensure we are providing a safe environment for patrons and employees.

Ross Anderson PharmaChoice Teen Centre- Additional measures have been put in place in the Teen Centre to ensure we are providing a safe environment for all youth and employees. Teen Centre Coordinators are excited to see you all!
