$499,907 approved in grants to community organizations
At the June 17th Council Meeting of the Municipality of Cumberland, $499,907 was approved in grants.
“It is incredibly important for council to continue to support our community organizations,” said Warden Al Gillis. “The fact that these organizations have been able to pivot their operations during a pandemic is a testament to the quality of the benefit they provide.

These grants are for non-profit community, recreational, sporting, cultural, educational, and social organizations that provide benefits to the residents and communities within the Municipality. Only those organizations that demonstrate financial need are considered for assistance.
