Cumberland municipal council held an emergency in-camera meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, to discuss a public security issue.
Council met for approximately three hours to discuss an incident that occurred at Poison Lake on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, and the role of the Collingwood & District Volunteer Fire Department in that incident and in the days that followed.
Council will consider a resolution related to those discussions at a special emergency council meeting at 2 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, in the council chamber at the Upper Nappan Service Centre.
The meeting will be live-streamed and open to the public.
